Can you please help me with this credit card problem?

credit card #AB CD was stolen from me. I did report it to the company and they issued me a new card #AB EF. I did call to activate it, but I never used ABEF. The stolen card ABCD made last payments in 2002. So now I am being sued by Resurgence for ABEF. Neither card was ever reported to the credit bureau. The SOL is 5 years in Illinois. I actually forgot ABCD debt which was stolen. Resurgence is now suing me on ABEF and did it 4 days before the SOL was up and has no transaction history on it. Their evidence showed no title of assignee and the contract agreement copyright date was 5 years older then when they said I opened the account When you sign an agreement it is copyrighted the year you signed it. Companies don’t post date copyright years for contracts. If you signed in 1998 the copyright says 1998 not 2003. The court asked them to do a discovery because they showed nothing. How can I save myself by not being sued on ABCD, because they filed notices for me to produce documents that I don’t have and interrogatories that require names of banking institutions I’ve used over the last ten years. Because they didn’t have any evidence they are doing a freeby in getting me to do the discovery. I don’t believe they have anything. I requested them to send me debt validation. They sent me a copy of 1 billing statement on ABEF with no transaction history. So can anybody help me with some advice? I cannot afford an attorney and trying to do the right things. Since the stolen ABCD’s SOL has passed. Can they sue me on that one? Who can I write to show I cannot be sued on ABCD? God help!

If the SOL on debt In your state is five years and it has passed than they can no longer legally come after you for the debt. Of course they don't want you to know that! Even if they are dumb enough to try and sue you forbit they WILL lose.
The validation they gave you isn't good enough.
You wrote WAY too much! That's why you aren't getting any answers you're scaring us! LOL maybe repost during the day with just the main points and you'll get more answers.

Are there any cheap hotels/motels in toronto that don't require credit cards? Thanks?

I have a credit card but am past my limit can anyone offer me some advice or somewhere that wont charge my credit card or lets me pay in cash
haha no not by the hour I'll be staying for four or five nights. I mean they won't charge my credit card right? And I can pay by cash? Cause I have two credit cards they are just maxed right now

If you put down enough of a cash deposit to cover your stay , many downtown hotels will not require a credit card. Call ahead, each has it's own policy.

Better Chase Credit Card? (details inside)?

Okay I’m currently 17 and want to apply for a credit card, I don’t know if I can but which card is better the CHASE FREEDOM CARD or the CHASE +1 STUDENT MASTERCARD?

If you have either or, let me know which is better.

You have to be 18 to legally sign contracts.

When you do turn 18 and apply for a card, be sure to only charge what you can afford to pay in full every month. That way you will build a good payment history without wasting money on interest and going into debt.

How to bring your credit score up through credit card purchases?

I just got a credit card recently, and I thought I knew how to bring my credit up. I figured that if I paid my bill every month, that was really good and you would jump in the ratings. My mom says you should keep a little bit of a balance, and that looks better. That would mean I’d pay the interest rate. Why should I have to pay the credit card company to bring up my credit score? Is this right, and why does it work out like this?

As the old expression goes “listen to your mother”!

If you pay off your credit card balances every month, it could cause a negative effect on your credit score. Suppose that you use your credit card to purchase pay utilities, phone, gas, groceries, and everything else each month, always spending around $1,250 each month. When the bill arrives, you pay the balance in full, now you would think you would get bonus points for staying out of debt and paying off the balance in full each month, but not when you consider how you look on paper. What is your credit card issuer reporting to your credit report each month — the total amount you owe at the time of the report and that you pay on time, not the fact that you pay your balance in full each month. Therefore, on paper, it looks like you carry a $1,250 balance on your credit card and never pay it off. Therefore, a good idea would be to have 2 or 3 credit cards and rotate them, using one for a few months, then using another, so that your credit card company can report a zero balance every few months to the three credit reporting agencies.

Another FICO rule is to not exceed 30% of your total avaialble credit. EXAMPLE: You have 3 cards, they total $3,000 in available credit, never charge more then $900. It will raise your score the lower your ratio of debt to available credit is.

Pay your bills on time. Delinquent payments and collections negatively impact your score.
Keep balances low on credit cards and other “revolving credit.” High outstanding debt lowers your credit score.
Apply for and open new credit accounts only as needed. Don’t open an account just to have a better credit mix; it probably won’t raise your score.
Pay off debt instead of moving it around. Owing the same amount, but having fewer open accounts may lower your score.

Hope this has been of help to you.

How do I find a credit card account that will allow me to accept mail order payments for a small business?

I am working with the publisher of a small journal. We need to make arrangements to accept credit card payments for subscriptions and advertisements.

How do I do this? What are the search terms I'd put into Yahoo or Google? (If I just enter "open credit card account", most of the links assume I want to get my own personal credit card.)

Are there any sites which list fees for multiple banks so that I can do comparison shopping to find an account with low fees?

Thanks.

Go to your local Costco and arrange for a merchant account. Their fee structure is the lowest around and their service is the best.

How exactly does a credit card work?

I want to apply for a credit card that starts out with a minimum credit line of $300. If I get it, it will be my first credit card. If I get the $300 credit, I want to make a purchase for like $200. Is this a good thing or a bad thing to do? Can someone give me some good tips on handling a credit card without getting bad credit?
I will mostly be using this card trying to start an at-home business.
Ya mama b*tch. Eat my p*ssy, h*e!!!
Oh, rudecatt63, you've hurt my feelings ever so much, I'm going to cry….NOT. For someone who keeps visiting the GLBT section and has a rainbow in they're background, you sure do do a lot of gay bashing. Self hate is so stupid. But then again if I were you, I would probably hate myself too.

The best way is to keep the balence no more than 50% of the limit. If you go higher than the 50%, it will look like you have bad credit instead of no credit.
If you pay the first balence off that month or pay half this payment and half the next, the bank will be very happy and raise your credit limit.
You do not want to make only minimum payments. That will get in you into BIG trouble. They can raise the interest rate and it will cost you way more to borrow that money than you thought it would.
If you have to because of money issues, make the payment that is due a min amount and then make another payment that month that is double the min. That will show good faith to the company. After about 6 months, you can call them and ask for the interest rate to be lowered or a higher limit.
