There are reasons which make credit card interest rates so high. High credit card interest rates make having this kind of debt a bad idea especially if it compounds very quickly after we bought things that quickly lose their value.

Including credit card debt as part of mortgage loan - 1st time buyer?
We are looking into purchasing a condo for our 1st owned housing. My wife and I make about 125,000 a year combined income and have good credit ratings with steady jobs (more than 5 years in the same company). The problem is that our cc debt accumulated through our early years is in the 50k, so paying for cc monthly payment + mortgage is not possible. Is it possible to fold our cc debt into a mortgage loan so we can at least afford to buy a condo/house? thank you.
On a purchase, I doubt it. Are you gonna have much to make a down payment??? If you do, then you may be able to get a home equity line of credit, pay off your credit cards with that. Your rate on the euity line will be around 8% and at least you can write off the interest where you can’t with credit cards.
There are a lot of specialty loans out there now, so you may have options. Remember it’s not a good thing to have your mortgage be higher than the value of your home. That can and will create a whole new set of worse problems.
Talk to a loan officer at your bank. They know you and may suggest a program…
How do you use a credit card to increase credit properly?
I am 20 years old, live with my parents right now and go to college. I only have my cell phone to pay right now and take the city bus to school. Im not sure what my credit is but i know i was approved from my cell phone company and I get capital one platinum credit card applications in the mail.

You would want to buy merchandise within your budget, and then each month pay the bill in full. If not paid in full, it would be a revolving balance & cost you more money than what you originally paid, and could form bad habits and spiral into uncontrollable debt. Credit takes time to use to build up a history, and the different types of credit you use over the years.
Self-control and appreciating the math in how interest accumulates is a large part in using credit to our advantage.
Will chapter 7 fix my legal problems?
I have a couple judgments against me from credit card debt. I received a discovery request from one of the law firms requesting a bunch of personal financial information and documents from me. I refuse to provide this information and I have been ignoring their letters.
The law firm has filed a motion to compel. Is it too late to file chapter 7 and be done with this mess?
If the underlying debts are dischargeable, then judgments associated with them are also dischargeable.
It is not too late to file Ch 7, assuming you are eligible.
Make an appointment with a local bankruptcy attorney; most offer one free or very low cost appointment.
It is never a good idea to ignore a court order. If you have a judgment against you, (absent a bankruptcy filing) the creditor is entitled to discover assets which could be taken to satisfy the judgment amount. The motion to compel is asking the court to order you to turn over the financial info. You could end up in jail for contempt of court if you don’t.
Make an appointment with a local bankruptcy attorney, sooner rather than later.
What is the best credit card for a beginner but also for a student?
I never had a credit card in my life before. I was always scared that I might fall under the bad credit before I reach 25! But now, I really need a credit card, but I want to know which one is the best one to apply for? I am also a full time student, so I don’t know if there are companies that offer a credit with help for a student.
